Archives and Conservation

The conservation of honorary archives is an essential mission of the Grand Chancellery of National Orders. It aims to preserve all documents, insignia and material elements related to national orders and honorary distinctions of the Republic of the Congo.

The conserved archives include decoration patents, nomination registers, administrative documents as well as historical pieces relating to the attribution and evolution of national distinctions. They bear witness to the institutional and honorary history of the Republic.

The management and conservation of these archives are part of an approach to safeguarding national heritage, guaranteeing the traceability of honorary decisions and the faithful transmission of institutional memory.
