Heritage and Collections
The honorary heritage of the Republic of the Congo consists of all the insignia, decorations, official documents and symbolic elements linked to national orders and honorary distinctions.
The collections preserved by the Grand Chancellery include decoration insignia, patents, administrative archives and historical pieces testifying to the evolution of national distinctions since their creation.
This heritage, both material and immaterial, reflects the history of the institutions of the Republic and the recognition accorded to women and men who have contributed to the service of the Nation. Its conservation is part of an approach to transmit honorary memory to present and future generations.
